"Except for parents, no one is more important to children's futures than their teachers." -
Kate Walsh

My name is Kay Dempsey.  I was born and raised in Winston County.  I graduated from LHS in 1985. Then, I continued my education at Mississippi State University receiving my bachelor’s degree in education in 1989. While attending college, I worked as a cashier at Sunflower.  Currently, I have 24 years experience.  I taught 1 year in Yazoo City and the remainder has been with the Louisville School System. I am a special education teacher.
I am single with 3 dogs.  I attend Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church where I am a member of Prayers and Squares quilting ministry.  During my spare time, I enjoy shopping at our local stores and meeting students from my school.

Mark Goldbeck, Pre-K-2nd Music Teacher: Goldbeck is originally from Jeffeson City, Missouri. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Mississippi State University. Goldbeck began teaching at Fair Elementary in August of 2000 and earned his National Board Certification in Early Childhood Music in 2010. He has 2 sons Joseph (12) and Ben (8). Goldbeck directs Fair’s Melody Makers who recently participated in Louisville’s Martin Luther King Day Celebration at Still Valley Church. The Melody Makers are also annual participants in Louisville’s Veterans Day Program and often participate in Winston County’s Relay for Life along with various other performances throughout the school year.

My name is Pam Smith and I graduated from Mississippi State University where I earned my B.S. degree in Elementary Education. I'm an avid Bulldog fan and still attend home football games with my college roommate.
I began my teaching career in Enterprise, MS where I taught 2nd and 3rd grade for 2 years. I met my late husband while living in Meridian and then moved back home to Louisville - I've since been teaching at Fair Elementary for 29 years.  The majority of my years at Fair have been teaching Kindergarten, and I've had the opportunity to work with many wonderful teachers and administrators over the years.  Each year has provided many wonderful memories in working with students and parents
I have one daughter, Rachel, who lives and works in Memphis, TN.  She is the light of my life and quite the personality!  I inherited my parents' love for animals - two dogs, one cat, and a Tennessee Walking Horse.
My hobbies and interests include a love of antiques and riding and showing horses.  I enjoy spending time with friends and family, traveling, and cooking.
During the summer, I love being outdoors, grilling and chilling!
