“It’s Elementary”

Brandy Blanton, Elementary School’s nurse, provides weekly news and tips for helping children at home.

Fair Elementary’s Melody Makers presented an enjoyable performance of the Christmas musical “A Prehistoric Christmas” by Teresa Jennings.

This talented group, led by Mr. Mark Goldbeck, consists of students selected from Fair Elementary’s second grade classes.
This musical portrays an adventure that finds Santa in the Land of the Dinosaurs (having flown through a time warp…of course).  The cast includes a variable number of dinosaurs as well as Santa and his reindeer.  The songs included “How Are We Supposed To Know?”, “Time Warp” (featuring both rap and singing sections), “That Is Christmas Time” (a toughing ballad), “Look Out!” (for the entrance of the tyrannosaurus rex… who is soon subdued with Christmas sweets), and a joyous finale guaranteed to bring the house down, “ Merry Christmas Time.”

Computers for Education booklets are due back this week.   Please fill out the book with addresses and return it to Fair Elementary.  This is a fundraiser for our school and we will receive $5.00 per booklet that is completed with addresses and turned in!  Thank you for your support!

Fair Elementary is also selling PAW print car magnets.  The magnets are $5.00 each and are available at Fair’s office.

On January 16th, the Parent Center will be hosting a workshop for our parents to attend.  Penny Hill Director of Curriculum and Instruction will conduct a workshop to explain the Common Core Standards for our students.  The workshop will be held from 5:15pm to 6:30pm.

Fair Elementary is in need of uniform pants for our clothing closet.  If you have any new or slightly used uniform pants that you would like to donate, please bring them to Fair Elementary’s office.  Your donation will be greatly appreciated.
