"Except for parents, no one is more important to children's futures than their teachers." -
Kate Walsh

My name is Torya Blair. I have been employed with Louisville Public Schools for 20 years.  I taught 3rd grade for 16 years and this is my 4th year in 2nd grade. It gives me joy to see my students learn!
I have been married to Minister Mark Blair for 17 years and we have two sons, Chris and Jaiden.  Chris is 16 and Jaiden is 7. I have been a church musician since 1987. I now have the pleasure of playing with my husband and my son. I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I love to listen to and sing gospel music. Sharing the love of Jesus through song is a passion of mine.
I have been truly blessed to be able to share my love of learning with my students.  I want to instill in them the importance of a good education and good behavior. This is not always easy, but my goal is to be someone that will push students to maximize their potential, whatever it is.
Between home, school, and church, my life is very full and I’m loving every minute of it!
