"Except for parents, no one is more important to children's futures than their teachers." -
Kate Walsh

My name is Jessi Garnett, and I am the speech therapist at Fair Elementary and Louisville Elementary. I have been the speech therapist at FES and LES for 3 years, which is where I started my career. I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors in Speech-Language Pathology from Mississippi University for Women. I am currently working on my Masters of Education in Dyslexia Therapy at Mississippi College. I live in Louisville, but I am originally from West Point. I have a Chihuahua named Gracie.

Hi, my name is Sasha Parks. I am 26 years old. I have one older sister and one younger as well.  I graduated from Mississippi University for Women in Elementary Education in 2011.  I have taught at Fair Elementary for 2 years now.  My hobbies include painting and drawing.

Hi, my name is Penny Stalcup and I am a kindergarten teacher at Fair Elementary.  I was born and raised in Greenwood, MS.  I attended Mississippi Delta Community College and was a member of the show choir.  I also attended Belhaven College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught kindergarten for 14 years.  I am married to Bill Stalcup and we have two children who are complete opposites.  Our oldest son is James Hunter.  He is 14 years old and is in the 8th grade at Noxapater Attendance Center.  Our youngest son is McCown Stalcup.  He is 9 years old and is in the 3rd grade at Louisville Elementary.  I attend Noxapater Baptist Church. I sing in the adult choir, assist with the children’s choir, and teach Vacation Bible School.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, walking, and spending time with my family.  I love teaching! It is very rewarding to watch how much your children grow and learn during one school year.  My goal is to show my students that I believe in them and I want them to believe in themselves.  Our class motto is I am Smart! I can Learn!  I will do Great Things!

Fair Elementary School’s librarian is Carol Thompson.  She is married to David Thompson and they have 3 children.  Kaci is married to Kyle McDill and they live in Brandon.  Justin is married to Hailey and they live in Starkville along with David and Carol’s two grandsons, Ethan and Peyton.  Rhyne lives in Louisville with his boxer puppy, Si.  Carol and David have one dog, Mik that is part Australian Shepherd.
Carol has a Bachelor of Library Science degree and a Master of Instructional Technology degree from Mississippi State University.  She is National Board Certified in the Early Childhood Generalist area.  She has been at Fair Elementary School for 23 years.  Prior to that she taught at First United Methodist Church Kindergarten.
Carol and David love to travel and their bucket list includes visiting all of the places mentioned in the Beach Boys’ song Kokomo.  They have enjoyed trips to Alaska, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Orange Beach, AL in the past year.  Trips planned this year include Branson, MO and Gatlinburg, TN.  There may even be a chance to check another Kokomo destination off the list!
