The kids in Mrs. Kay Dempsey's class had lots of fun over the past few weeks with some pumpkin carving,crazy sock day, and having Mr. Ryan Thompson come and read to the class.

Preventing Cyberbullying Work Shop/ Free Health Fair

April is "Cyberbulling and Free Health" month at the Family Center.  The workshop will inform parents about preventing cyberbullying at home and school.  Mrs. Samaria Hudson, Counselor at Eiland Middle School, will present the informatve workshop. The Free Health Fair is open to the public, it will offer different medical screenings and valuable health information.

March is "Testing and Technology" month at the Family Center.  The workshops will inform parents about updates on the PARCC  Testing/Graduation Options and effective ways to use technology at home and in the classroom.  Dr. Nola Bryant, Director of Assessments and Accountability and Mrs. Billie J. Fulton, Louisville High School Teacher will present their informative workshops.  They look forward to seeing you at their special event.

Meet Our New Principal!!

Boswell speaks to staff at Fair Elementary
Fair Elementary School met today with their new principal. LeAnn
Boswell will be the new principal,  who is taking over from Dr.
Leigh Ann Hailey, who has taken a position as a clinical professor at Mississippi State University.

Boswell has more than 20 years with the Louisville Municipal School District, most recently serving as the assistant principal at
Noxapater for 3 years prior to being the District Literacy Coach for LMSD. Boswell is also a graduate of Louisville High School.

Superintendent Ken McMullan took the opportunity to recognize to Dr. Hailey, saying, " We would like to thank you for your service and the job you did at Fair." McMullan noted that "Fair has always been a good school and we are very excited to have someone in our district ready to step in and do a good job."

Boswell starts immediately and will work side by side with current principal Hailey for the next few weeks to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Boswell spoke to the faculty and staff saying,"My door is always open and I'm very excited to be here."
